MINI UNIT
This unit will address current issues of academic honesty, fraud, and plagarism. We will review the school’s polices regarding academic honesty, identify some of the different forms of plagarism, and discuss current news articles and case studies.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
What is plagarism? What does academic honesty mean? Why is it important to understand and to prevent? How can you do to avoid plagarism in your assignments? The class will discuss these ten different types of plagarism and work to develop a system to rank them.

Sometimes plagarism is more complicated than just copying someone else’s work.
What is plagarism? What does academic honesty mean? Why is it important to understand and to prevent plagarism? How can you do to avoid it in your assignments?
The class will review the school’s academic honesty policy and discuss ways to ensure that your work follows this policy.

Is this plagiarism? The class will examine a  number of case studies and discuss either the prevention of plagiarism or the consequences.
