ASSESSMENT

Assessment needs to be clear, fair, consistent, and transparent. Students should learn from every assessment. The feedback should be intentional and incremental, and their strengths must be emphasized. 

            Students should be involved in discussions and development of assessment criterion. They should understand the purpose and method of the assessment, and they should feel that the assessment adds to their understanding and learning.

            Teachers must provide assessment and feedback that is continuous, timely, encouraging, beneficial, specific, and provided in a manner that builds skills, knowledge, confidence, and leads to a valid evaluation of the student’s learning.

            Assessment should be delivered in such a way that ensures that student maintain their belief that they are able to learn, focuses on developing their abilities to understand and appreciate their strengths and weaknesses, and motivate students to stay engaged and continue their development.
